Aaron Kent

Aaron Kent is a 3D generalist / 2D digital artist who has worked in the broadcast, documentary, and film industries for almost a decade. Clients include HBO, MTV, ESPN, Microsoft, and IBM. In his spare time he is an avid cyclist and reader of books. He wishes all his new Autodesk brethren the best!
 

Alan Jones

Australian Alan Jones started in the multimedia fi eld, working on small bits of 3D for CD-ROM / Web development. He has been a SOFTIMAGE user since late 2001, when he started working with 3D full-time in the area of Architectural Visualization. He currently resides in London and works as a freelance SOFTIMAGE artist.
 

Andrea Carvey

Brad and Andrea Carvey have been doing computer animations for a long time. In 1969, Brad used an analog computer, which was the size of a car, to produce his first computer animation. An archeologist, Andrea prefers to do scientific animations. Her credits include programs like The Discovery Channel’s Understanding Cars. Brad is an electrical engineer and an Emmy Award-winning member of the Video Toaster development team. He prefers to do feature film work. His credits include films like Men in Black, Stuart Little, Black Hawk Down, Kate & Leopold, and Master of Disguise.

Beau Janzen

Beau Janzen has worked as a lead animator and CG supervisor on a wide variety of projects, ranging from feature films, stereoscopic projects, commercials, and fine art pieces. His film credits include X-Men, X-Men 3, and The Amazing Adventures of Spiderman. Janzen also writes and designs educational films, including the internationally award-winning Mesh. Janzen has created educational films for clients including NASA , Annenberg CPB, General Motors, and India’s Central Institute of Educational T echnology. H e currently is a faculty member at the Art Institute of California, Los Angeles, where he teaches mathematics and computer animation. More information is available at www.zipheron.com.
 

Bernard Lebel

Bernard Lebel after a few years in Graphic Design, Bernard made the move to 3d Animation. He has been working in 3d Graphics for four years. Lighting and rendering are his favored areas. He worked in various studios like MULITVET MEDIA, TWIST!IMAGE, CINÉGROUPE, ACTION SYNTHÈSE, and METEOR STUDIOS. He has been doing scripting since Spring 2003, and Python scripting since June 2004. He has been using Softimage since December 2001.
 

Bill Blakesley

Bill Blakesley, M.S. is a master degreed Medical Illustrator and has over eight years of experience in 3D Medical Visualization. He is employed as a Medical Animator at Shaw Science Partners and serves as an Assistant Adjunct Faculty Member at the Medical College of Georgia. Bill also sits on the Advisory Board and conducts an Introduction to 3D Animation at American Intercontinental University.
 

Boaz Livny

Boaz Livny is a lighting and shading artist, consultant, writer, and educator in New York, New York. Passionate about photography, he currently specializes in lighting and rendering, focusing on the photography aspect of 3D imaging. He provides regular services, consultancy, custom training, and freelance support to clients and studios. He is a professor of master’s level courses at NYU's prestigious Center for Advanced Digital Applications (CADA) and bachelor’s-level courses at the NYU Digital Communications and Media, McGhee division. He also teaches the advanced Maya training at the New York Film Academy. Boaz recently published his book, mental ray for Maya, 3ds Max and XSI: A 3D Artist’s Guide to Rendering, published by Wiley. He also contributed chapters to Mastering Maya 7 and Mastering Maya 8.5, both from Wiley.
